The 17 th Annual National Christian Homeschool Basketball Championships were a tremendous success.
- A record number 302 teams participated.
- The introduction of the Nationals Showcase was a smashing success as over 5,000 fans packed the Sawyer Center to watch the High School All-American Game, 3 Point Shooting Contest and Slam Dunk Contest.
- Oklahoma City enjoyed the impact of 3,000 players, 600 coaches and 6,000 fans were in town for the week. The Daily Oklahoman and OKCCVB estimated that the economic impact exceeded 13 million dollars making the NCHBC one of the top five events of the year.
- There was a very significant media presence this year throughout the week, which resulted in daily article in the Oklahoman and a feature article that appeared on the front page of the New York Times.
