Prior to UH, Verwers played two seasons for Colorado State...a part-time starter in 2004-05, in which he was one of three players to appear in all 28 games...averaged 1.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game and shot 39.6 percent from the field...as a freshman, averaged 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 56.5 percent...over his two-year career at CSU, played in 57 consecutive games and started 18 contests.
